DANGER... DO NOT INSTALL. This extension caused a computer hack. Within hours of installing, new Macbook Pro hacked, over $70k stolen from a few hot wallets that had sat untouched for 1+ year. I had not funded Phantom, only set it up. Support refused to compensate despite evidence that I believe shows Phantom at fault, investigators suspect same. I was not phished. You may see many similar reviews and I know more people to whom this exact thing happened. I'm an incoming US grad student and professional, this caused severe mental health issues. Many web3 companies don't realize the consequences of such experimental and unregulated consumer tech with catastrophic costs for failure, code issues, or security breaches - Billions hacked across DeFi, 94% of all crypto users are Gen Z and millennial, middle or working class; record billions lost in insolvencies, many execs in prison - just what are we doing here? I would stay away or urge extreme caution at least. Wallets like these are NOT legitimate financial products - even the 'safest' stablecoins like USDC are not entirely safe to use - I got all my stablecoins hacked. Of course, the rules are different for crypto insiders for whom things can be forked or frozen. I fear this "industry" may have to pay an extremely steep cost one day when the rest of society gets sick of the economic damages, crimes, grifts, ponzis, et al. What happens when millions of people get hacked billions of dollars? Do we see complete societal breakdown in the " next bull market" ? And in the next bust...?
